Getting Started

I've never done CrossFit before. Is this for me?

Yes. CrossFit Ulladulla is for everyone. We coach the process. Every movement is scaled to your ability, every class is led by a coach, and you'll be supported from your very first session.

Can I just turn up and try a class?

No, and that's intentional. We don't run casual trial classes because they don't give you a real picture of how we coach. Instead, every new member starts with a free no-pressure consultation so we can understand your goals, history and any injuries, and prescribe the right starting point.

What happens after the consultation?

We'll recommend the right path for you, which is usually Fundamentals: two onboarding sessions that teach the foundational movements, scaling, and class structure before you join group classes. This is non-negotiable for new CrossFitters because it sets you up to train safely and confidently.

I've done CrossFit before. Do I still need to do Fundamentals?

If you're an experienced CrossFitter moving from another box, we'll usually go straight into a chat about ongoing training. If you've done CrossFit before but it's been a while, we'll recommend a short intro session so you can ease back in safely.

Do you offer drop-ins?

Yes, for experienced CrossFitters and visitors to the area. Book a casual session (currently $27.50) and we'll have you train with the class. Arrive 10 minutes early so you can introduce yourself to the coach.

Is there a free trial?

We run Bring-a-Friend Weeks where current members can bring a mate in to train for free. Outside of that, the consultation is the best free first step.

Memberships & Pricing

What memberships do you offer?

Ongoing memberships (rolling, billed weekly):

  • Unlimited: $55/week, unlimited classes
  • 2 Classes Per Week: $38.50/week
  • Weekly Pass: $66/week, unlimited (short term option)

Class packs:

  • 10 Session Pass: $247.50 (great if you train less than twice a week or have an inconsistent schedule)
  • Casual Session: $27.50

Specialty:

  • Hyrox: $39.50/week, unlimited
  • Hyrox Race Class: $33/week, 1 session
  • Complete Nutrition: $412.50

Onboarding:

  • Fundamentals Group: $99
  • Fundamentals Private: $160

Which membership is right for me?

That's exactly what we figure out together in your consultation, or at your 30, 60 and 90 day check-ins. As a rough guide:

  • Training 3+ times a week → Unlimited
  • Training twice a week consistently → 2 Classes Per Week
  • Less than twice a week or inconsistent → 10 Session Pass
How am I billed?

Ongoing memberships are billed weekly by direct debit through PushPress. Class packs are paid upfront.

Holds & Pauses

Can I pause my membership?

Yes. Life happens — holidays, injuries, work, family. Our hold policy is designed to give you flexibility while keeping things fair for the gym.

How do I request a hold?

Email info@crossfitulladulla.com with:

  • Your name
  • Hold start date
  • Hold end date (or how many weeks)
  • A quick reason (holiday, injury, family, etc.)
What are the hold rules?
  • Minimum hold: 2 weeks
  • Maximum: 8 weeks per calendar year (total across all holds)
  • Notice: at least 7 days before your hold start date
  • Backdating: not possible — holds must start in the future
  • Reactivation: your membership turns back on automatically on your selected return date
What are holds for?

Holds are designed for genuine life events:

  • Holidays or travel
  • Injury or medical reasons
  • Family or life circumstances
  • Temporary financial hardship

If you're finding it hard to attend consistently for other reasons, we'll usually recommend moving to a 10-Class Pass instead. It's a better fit than a weekly membership for inconsistent attendance.

Can I extend a hold?

You can, as long as you stay under the 8 week annual limit. Just email us before your current hold ends.

Changing Your Membership

How do I upgrade or downgrade my membership?

Email info@crossfitulladulla.com with the membership you'd like to switch to and your preferred start date. We'll confirm the change in writing and update your billing.

When does a plan change take effect?

We'll action it from your next billing cycle unless you ask for something different. You'll always get written confirmation before anything changes.

I want to switch from Unlimited to a 10-Class Pass. Can I?

Yes. Email us and we'll cancel your weekly membership and set up the class pack. Same rules apply: 1 week's notice on the existing membership.

Cancellations

How do I cancel my membership?

Two options, whichever is easier for you:

  1. Email info@crossfitulladulla.com with your cancellation request, or
  2. Use the cancellation request inside your PushPress member app.
How much notice do I need to give?

1 week's notice in writing. Your final week of billing will go through as normal, and your membership ends at the end of that week.

Is there a minimum term?

No. Ongoing memberships are rolling weekly. You can cancel any time with 1 week's notice.

What if I want to come back later?

Always welcome. Email us and we'll get you set back up. Depending on how long you've been away, we may suggest a quick refresher session before you jump back into classes.

Is there a limit on how often I can cancel and re-join?

Yes, on ongoing weekly memberships (Unlimited, 2 Classes Per Week, Weekly Pass).

  • You can cancel and re-join your ongoing membership up to 2 times in any rolling 12 month period at no extra cost.
  • A 3rd re-join within a rolling 12 month period attracts a $99 re-joining fee, paid upfront before your membership starts back up.
  • This doesn't apply to Casual Sessions or 10 Session Pass purchases. You can buy those any time without limit.

Why? Cancelling and re-joining repeatedly creates a lot of admin and makes class planning, rostering and coaching ratios harder to manage. If you know your attendance will be patchy, our Membership Hold (up to 8 weeks/year) covers short breaks, and the 10 Session Pass is built for inconsistent training.

Class Bookings

How do I book a class?

Through the PushPress member app. Bookings open in advance and you can see the full timetable there.

How do I cancel a class booking?

Cancel through the app as soon as you know you can't make it. It frees up the spot for someone else and keeps our class numbers accurate for the coach.

What if classes are full?

Add yourself to the waitlist in the app. If a spot opens up, you'll get notified.

What to Expect in Class

What does a class look like?

Every class is coach-led and follows a structured format: warm-up, skill or strength work, the workout (WOD), and a cool-down. Coaches scale every movement to your level. You'll never be left to figure it out alone.

Will I be able to keep up?

Yes. Scaling isn't a backup option, it's expected. Whether you're 19 or 69, brand new or a Games-level athlete, the class is designed to challenge you at your level.

Do you have Open Gym?

We're fully coach-led during class hours to keep standards and safety high. If Open Gym options become available, we'll announce them.

Teens & Kids

Do you have programs for kids and teens?

Yes:

  • Active Kids Teens Term (1 day/week): $24.99, 10 sessions
  • Active Kids Teens Term (2 days/week): $150, 20 sessions
  • Teens CrossFit: $38.50/week, 2 sessions/week
  • Teens Term (1 day/week): $124.99, 10 sessions
  • Teens Term (2 days/week): $250, 20 sessions
  • Teens 10 Session Pass: $176
  • Teens Casual Session: $22
Can I use my Active Kids voucher?

Yes. Our Active Kids Teens Term pricing reflects the NSW Active Kids voucher. Bring the voucher details when you sign up.

Community & Events

Do you do social events?

Yes. Bring-a-Friend Weeks, in-gym challenges, team events, PR shout-outs, birthday posts and specialty class drop-ins. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay across what's on.

How do I refer a friend?

Just send them our way. The easiest path for them is to book a free consultation through our website, or DM us their name and we'll reach out.
